Nigeria could generate as much as $1.4m annually from the new private owner's luxury tax

Ecobank Transnational Incorporated and the African Guarantee Fund (AGF) have signed a $50m portfolio security to support small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) across sub Saharan Africa. According to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) agriculture accounts for 27% of the country’s GDP. The Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) says that 45% of government revenue is derived from agriculture and the sector contributes more than 50% of export earnings. Over 60% of Kenya’s workers are employed.
